At present, in Hai Phong City, Japanese investors ranked 2nd in terms of the number of projects and investment capital with 147 projects and a total registered investment capital of about 3.9 billion USD mainly concentrated in industrial production, services, education, infrastructure investment, real estate, commerce, and transportation. The conference introduced investors to the city's socio-economy and investment attraction orientation, discussed the demand for labor of Japanese enterprises, and training models in universities and other education establishments as well as the employment needs of graduates.  

Hai Phong City possesses abundant human resources, and a developed system of universities, colleges, and vocational schools. The conference was an opportunity to effectively connect Japanese companies with human resource training units in Hai Phong City. Similar activities are expected to be held in the future.

 Also within the framework of the conference, enterprises and educational units had the opportunity to connect, and exchange specific information on the needs as well as the orientation of human resource development. The event also saw chances to cooperate and connect local labor sources with Japanese investors or enterprises in Hai Phong City; contributing to strengthening the cooperation relationship in human resources supply between Vietnam and Japan.
