Maintaining the progress of the Lach Huyen Port construction investment project
The construction investment project of Wharf No. 5 and 6 of the Lach Huyen Wharf area in Hai Phong Seaport was approved by the Prime Minister and then adjusted following the investment policy in Decision No. 186 dated February 11th, 2022. Currently, the investor is focusing on ensuring the construction progress.

The project has a total investment of more than 8,900 billion dong. The two berths will be 900m long (450m each) and can receive container ships up to 18,000 TEUs per the reception conditions of the relevant infrastructure and meet the safety requirements. Two barge berths with a length of 200m will receive ships with a capacity of up to 160 TEUs. For port protection works, warehouse system, port service infrastructure, ship parking area, and water area connected to the Lach Huyen public navigation channel, the land use range is over 58 ha.
After receiving the Investment Registration Certificate, the investor urgently started implementing the project. Currently, the units are closely following the progress, and by July of this year, the construction of the temporary wharf was 100% done. Over 1700 out of more than 3700 cement-reinforced piles with diameter D1000 have been installed, and over 3100 out of more than 9700 cement-reinforced soil piles with diameter D1800 have been constructed. The foundation treatment by wicking combined with loading has been carried out since the end of May this year and is basically on schedule.
