The success of the August Revolution in Hai Phong contributed to the rapid destruction of the colonial and feudal regime and the joy of the Independence Day across the country.
Dong Trieu war zone, one of the important war zones associated with the uprising to seize power in the August Revolution of the people of Hai Duong province and the former Hai Phong city. From this location, the revolutionary forces spread to the localities to lead the people to rise up and struggle for independence. The revolutionary spirit was boiling... The policy of "breaking the rice warehouse, solving the famine" or the slogan "Supporting the Revolution, supporting the Viet Minh"... was widely responded by the masses. In less than a week, the entire puppet government of the imperialists and feudalists in the districts of Kien Thuy, Thuy Nguyen, An Lao, An Duong, Tien Lang, Vinh Bao was defeated. The revolutionary government was established.

Regarding the revolutionary autumn of 1945, in the book History of Hai Phong Party Committee, volume 1 (1925 - 1945), it says the revolutionary spirit among workers and laborers was boiling. At the cement factory, the workshops mobilized workers to use their own weapons, spears, Workers at the Wool factory, Port, mechanical workshop, shipyard... and people in all walks of life prepared welcome gates, banners, flags, posters waiting for the order to uprise.  The whole city was excitedly preparing for the uprising.
