Dong Bai - Cai Vien Ferry Resumes Operation
According to the National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting, storm No. 2 has entered the mainland, weakened, and dissipated. Therefore, from 7:00 A.M. morning of July 24th, road and inland waterway transport activities by ferries, boats, e.g. Cat Hai - Phu Long cable car system in areas on the sea and islands returned to normal.

Previously, in response to storm No. 2, Hai Phong City's Command Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense had suspended inland waterway transport activities, river ferries, sea ferries, Cat Hai - Phu Long cable car system and tourism activities in sea and island areas from noon on July 22, 2024. According to statistics from the People's Committee of Cat Hai district, due to the impact of storm No. 2, there were more than 3,800 guests stranded on Cat Ba island, including more than 400 international visitors and more than 3,400 domestic tourists. Local authorities have directed and mobilized accommodation facility owners to reduce prices (50% or more) on room prices for guests who remained in the area due to the storm./.
