Developing science and technology, innovation, digital transformation
This morning in Ha Noi, General Secretary To Lam, Head of the Central Steering Committee for implementing Resolution No.57 of the Politburo, chaired a conference to review the performance in the third quarter and deploy key tasks at the end of the year in terms of science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation. The conference was also attended by the National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and Politburo members, leaders of central departments and ministries. At Hai Phong venue, Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Tien Chau, Chairman of the City People Committee Le Ngoc Chau and leaders of the City Party Committee, People& Council, People Committee and Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of the city attended the conference.
In his opening speech, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that the Central Steering Committee assessed that the implementation of Resolution 57 had achieved outstanding results in the aspects of institutions, policies; direction and administration; digital infrastructure and data development, the development of population data applications, online public services to serve people and businesses; technical infrastructure to connect the network smoothly from the central to the grassroots level, digital transformation to implement the 2-level local government model... After 9 months of implementation, ministries and local agencies have deployed and completed many important tasks. Many positive highlights in the implementation of Resolution 57 have been recorded. However, there are still shortcomings, bottlenecks and overdue tasks that have not been completed. If not promptly resolved, they will affect the goals of developing science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. The General Secretary requested that members of the Central Steering Committee, ministries and localities seriously carry out the tasks of breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation in the last months of the year, complete the goals of the Resolution 57, making important contributions to the rapid and sustainable development of the country
