DECISION OF APPOINTING NEW HAIPHONG PARTY SECRETARY ANNOUNCED

In Haiphong, Ms Truong Thi Mai, member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Central Party Committee, Head of the Central Party's Organization committee chaired the conference on implementing the Politburo's decision on Haiphong leader's appointment.

According to decision No.83 dated April 29, 2021 of the Politburo, Mr. Tran Luu Quang, member of the Party Central Committee was assigned to hold the position of Secretary of Haiphong Party Committee in term 2020-2025. On behalf of the Politburo, Ms. Truong Thi Mai presented flowers to Mr. Le Van Thanh and handed the decision of appointment to Mr. Tran Luu Quang. Head of the central Organization committee acknowledged the achievements made by Haiphong in the past term. In  particular, she highly appreciated the role and dedication of Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh, wishing him in the new position will continue to promote his mentality and strength, together with the government to build a prosperous and strong country. Assigning the task to the new secretary of Haiphong Party committee Tran Luu Quang, Head of the central Organization committee believed that with his accumulated experience,  Mr. Tran Luu Quang would together with Haiphong Party committee try hard to build Haiphong to become a modern industrial city.

The new Haiphong Party secretary sincerely thanked the Politburo for their  trust in assigning him to this position. He expressed his determination to join hand with the city's party committee and authority to unite and build Haiphong to become a modern, civilized port city, proceed with the successes the city has gained so far./.
