The Traditional Wrestling Competition of the Mac Dynasty is a part of the National Wrestling Federation's prize system. This event was revived and organized to encourage and promote the practice of traditional wrestling among people and, at the same time, pay tribute to Emperor Mac Dang Dung, who was originally an athlete and martial artist. The year’s competition was held on February 21st and 22nd (Lunar January 12th and 13th), marking a successful organization with the participation of many high-quality wrestlers. The professionalism contributed to the revitalization and spread of the traditional wrestling discipline among the people, preserving and promoting the martial spirit of the nation. The event is a practical activity in response to the movement of nationwide physical training following the example of the great Uncle Ho, taking part in the commemoration of Vietnam’s Sports Day on March 27th./.
