Road 356 section 2A upgrade and improvement project technically opens to traffic

Haiphong People’s Committee recently organized the traffic opening ceremony of the Road 356 Section 2A Upgrade and Improvement Project.

Completion of the road section not only contributes to the port and coastal economic development but also brings out opportunity to develop tourism of Haiphong City in the National Tourism Year 2013. As scheduled, the road construction will be completed by end of 2013. Haiphong People’s Committee already assigned Department of Transport as investor; Road and Waterway Transport Project Management Unit (under Department of Transport) as investor’s representative; and Viet Uc Group JSC as constructor. After nearly 2 years of land clearance and construction, the project has completed the road base, drainage system and road divider 1 year earlier than target… Travelling on the road is therefore more convenient and contributes to improving capacity of transporting goods through Haiphong ports.

The Road 356 Section 2A Upgrade and Improvement Project has total investment capital of VND 315 billion, of which more than USD 100 billion is used for land clearance.
