Opening of Photo Exhibition “The Country in Full Joy”
On the afternoon of April 28, Hai Phong City’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism opened the Photo and Document Exhibition with the theme "The Country in Full Joy". This is a meaningful activity celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the 71st anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2025).

The exhibition introduces more than 200 photos, excerpts, statistics, and nearly 500 books summarizing the heroic history of the Vietnamese people. The content ranges from the resistance war against French colonialism, culminating in the Dien Bien Phu victory that “resounded throughout the five continents and shook the world”, creating the decisive basis for ending the French colonial rule in the three Indochinese countries and marking a major turning point in the global national liberation movement; to the resistance war against American imperialism, ending with the Great Victory in the Spring of 1975, completely liberating the South, unifying the country, opening an era of peace, independence and development.
Through the images and documents, the Exhibition contributes to recreating the panoramic picture of the two great resistance wars, highlighting the great sacrifices of generations of ancestors, while demonstrating the passionate patriotism, indomitable will, and resilience that Vietnamese people forged over thousands of years of history.
The exhibition also displays the development achievements of the country in general and Hai Phong City in particular after 50 years of national reunification and 40 years of innovation, industrialization, modernization and international integration./.
