The competition saw the participation of 130 teenagers and children selected from grassroots competitions, aiming to create a healthy, useful, competitive playground for children to develop their painting talent, nurture their love of beauty, and appreciate the values ​​surrounding life. It also educates children to be more aware of the value of heritage, pride in the traditions and beauty of their homeland and country; arouses in them a sense of responsibility to care for, protect, and promote the value of heritage and the heroic history of Hai Phong City. The contest helps form and maintain the habit of reading books, realize the necessity and importance of libraries in learning and training, and the role of reading and following books and newspapers.

The Organizing Committee selected 72 quality paintings to award prizes for each level of education (primary and secondary), of which the first prizes were awarded to Dao Vu Tue Nhi, a student of An Tien Primary School (An Lao District) and Vu Thi Thao Nhi, a student of Doan Xa Secondary School (Kien Thuy District).
