First Inscription of New Year Ceremony in Thuy Nguyen City
On February 8th morning, at the memorial of First Doctoral Candidate Le Ich Moc, the Quanh Thanh commune in Thuy Nguyen City hosted the New Year’s First Inscription and the Third edition of the city’s Calligraphy in National Language Contest to honor Vietnam’s intellectuals and the country’s studious tradition.
Attending the event were Mr. Pham Van Lap, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee - Chairman of the People's Council of Hai Phong City; Mr. Pham Van Thep, Member of the Standing Committee - Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee of the Hai Phong City Party Committee.
The First Inscription Ceremony and the Third Calligraphy in National Language Contest of Thuy Nguyen City will be held from February 8 to March 14, 2025, aligning with the 487th Death Anniversary of the First Doctoral Candidate Le Ich Moc.
At the Program, right after the delegates’s incense offering ceremony, the reading of the congratulatory message by Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thuy Nguyen City Uong Minh Long and the drum beating to open the festival by Chairman of the People's Committee of Thuy Nguyen City Nguyen Huy Hoang, Calligrapher Le Anh Chau wrote the words "Khai trien hong do", singifying Thuy Nguyen City’s control in its destiny and its eagerness to walk on the new path of development and build a bright and hopeful future. Thuy Nguyen, with its resilient revolutionary tradition and its patriotic, hard-working people, is arousing a new source of strength and pride in the city.
Also at the event, leaders of Hai Phong City, Thuy Nguyen City, teachers, and outstanding students from schools in Thuy Nguyen performed the opening ceremony, offering words of good wishes for the New Year. Here, the 3rd National Language Calligraphy Contest also entered the preliminary round, full of skillful, meaningful works of artistic value.
Within the framework of the event, the delegates and the city’s people can experience and learn about the culture and traditions of Thuy Nguyen land and people, such as: Dum singing, Ca Tru singing, calligraphy, and cuisine. Through the ctivities, the city creates a joyful, exciting and wholesome atmosphere for the first days of the New Year; contributing to preserving and promoting the historical and cultural traditions of the locality and the nation; as well as developing tourism, promoting the image of Thuy Nguye to friends inside and outside the city./.
