On the afternoon of 19 May, Mr. Le Thanh Son, Deputy Chairman of the city People’s Committee worked with leader of LG Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd on product consumption in Haiphong. Currently, LG Vietnam has built the plant in Hai Phong and manufactured an extensive range of high-tech products. Besides exporting via global distribution system, LG spends a sizable consumption portion in domestic market with many products such as mobile phones, refrigerators, home entertainment products, surveillance cameras, air conditioners, high-tech light-emitting diodes (LED), street light, etc... Accordingly, LG desires Haiphong to create conditions for LG’s products to reach ongoing constructions and projects in the city.

Vice Chairman Le Thanh Son stressed this is a content of the memorandum of understanding signed between Haiphong and LG Group. With its responsibility and sentiment, Haiphong will facilitate the business to bring LG’s products to households, businesses and large projects on the basis of complying with the provisions of law and ensuring the equality among enterprises. Haiphong hopes that LG will strengthen the consumption of goods in the domestic market, making bigger contributions to the city budget./.
