Hai Phong Tourism to Create Momentum for Breakthrough in 2025
2024 marks a significant recovery of Hai Phongs tourism industry across various sectors. Although the COVID-19 pandemic still has some impact, the positive growth rate in the past year has driven Hai Phong tourism towards breakthroughs in 2025.
Based on its existing potential and strengths, in 2024, Hai Phong's Department of Tourism continues to enhance new, distinctive products such as "Hai Phong Weekend Adventure," along with the establishment of two walking streets, Quang Trung and Phung Chi Kien, which have become the key highlights in the city’s urban tourism products. At the same time, the promotion and development of food tourism, city tours, and historical and cultural heritage tourism will continue to be strengthened in terms of quality and quantity to attract more visitors. MICE tourism, eco-tourism, and tourism connected to cultural and historical heritage sites will also remain the focal points.
In December 2024, Hai Phong Tourism is expected to welcome and serve 599,827 visitors, an increase of 12.07% compared to last year, with 78,306 international visitors, up 2.9% compared to last year, with an estimated revenue of 719.8 billion VND. For the entirety of 2024, Hai Phong received 9.15 million visitors, a rise of 14.52% compared to the previous year, exceeding the annual target by 0.55%. Of these, 987,753 are international visitors, up 1.22% compared to the same period last year, bringing an estimated revenue of 10.98 trillion VND.
