Determination to Promote World-Level Recognized Natural Heritage

In 2023, the Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago complex was recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage. It is considered one of the important cultural events of the city. The recognition as a World Heritage Site affirmed Vietnams international contributions to preserving and promoting heritage values highly regarded by the international community. 

Preserving And Promoting Vietnamese Cultural Identity

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism recently organized a national online conference summarizing the work in 2023 and implementing tasks in 2024. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Member of the Politburo, attended and directed the conference. Mr. Le Khac Nam, Vice Chairman of the City Peoples Committee, and representatives of leaders in relevant departments, branches, and units attended for Hai Phong City at the conference.

Preserving Traditional Craft Villages

Vinh Bao district is known as one of the localities with the largest number of traditional crafts in Hai Phong City, including Bao Ha carpenter village, puppetry village, mat weaving, and embroidery villages of Dong Minh commune. To preserve and promote traditional craft villages, Hai Phong City’s Cooperative Alliance has just organized two training classes to supplement artisans with knowledge and help expand markets for local crafters.
