Cat Ba Attracted Many Visitors at Year-End
The number of visitors to Cat Ba increased significantly as the Tet holiday nears, and many international visitors chose tours to explore the beauty of the World Natural Heritage of Cat Ba archipelago.
At Cai Beo Wharf, many tourist boats welcome visitors to Lan Ha Bay – a member of the World’s Most Beautiful Bays. Most visitors are foreigners who want to see Lan Ha Bay and Viet Hai fishing village at the end of the year. International visitors still choose Cat Ba because of the wild beauty of the forest and sea, and fresh air.
Cat Ba archipelago has become a World Natural Heritage with outstanding global values. Our group chose to visit Lan Ha Bay, hike through the forest, and climb mountains in winter to enjoy the beauty of the landscape here
In 2024, Cat Ba tourism welcomed nearly 3.7 million visitors, reaching 102% of the plan. A notable highlight is that for the first time, the number of international visitors staying overnight on the bays of the Cat Ba Archipelago has exceeded 1 million.
In 2025, Cat Hai District aims to host 4 million visitors. The district focuses on building Cat Ba into a "green island" linking tourism development with environmental protection and sustainable development. The district will also continue preserving and promoting the value of the Cat Ba archipelago - a World Natural Heritage, completing the dossier to propose recognizing the archipelago as a National Tourist Area, contributing to attracting more and more domestic and international tourists./.
