Cat Ba Welcomed Nearly 3.7 Million Visitors In 2024
Cat Ba tourism has seen significant growth in 2024, with its early achievement of welcoming 3.6 million visitors.
Last year, Cat Ba welcomed and hosted 3.675 million visitors, reaching 102% of the planned target, of which international tourists accounted for over 1 million, exceeding the annual target by 151%, while domestic visitors reached approximately 2.6 million. The total revenue from accommodation and dining services amounted to 3.354 trillion VND. Among the total number of visitors, more than 1 million visitors visited and stayed overnight on the bays of the Cat Ba Archipelago, generating a total revenue of 225 billion VND, exceeding 28% compared to last year. With optimistic signs and prospects for tourism, in 2025, Cat Hai district has chosen the theme for the year as "Focusing on Site Clearance - Strengthening Tourism Management - Building Model New Rural Areas," with a target of welcoming 4 million visitors./.
