Since the beginning of the year, the investment capital from the state budget has undergone prioritization across all levels, sectors, and localities to ensure that proposed plans are met. The total investment capital from the state budget managed by localities in the first seven months of this year reached 8,120 billion VND, equivalent to 40.6% of the annual plan, a decrease of 1.29% compared to the same period last year.

Many key projects in the city are accelerating their construction progress, aiming for completion according to the proposed schedule. These projects are making a positive contribution to the total investment capital implemented in the city, including the Ben Rung Bridge project connecting Hai Phong City and Quang Ninh province, which was completed and officially opened for traffic on July 17th, 2024; the City Political-Administrative Center Construction Project; the investment project to build Lai Xuan Bridge and renovate and expand Provincial Road 352; the investment project to build a road from Provincial Road 354 in Tien Lang District to National Highway 10 in Vinh Bao District; the investment project to build a bridge over Hoa River and the section through Hai Phong of the road from Thai Binh City to Nghin Bridge; new rural commune construction projects; school construction and repair projects; and the construction of People's Committee headquarters, cultural houses, urban roads, and inter-commune and inter-village roads. However, according to reported data, investment capital from local budget sources in the first seven months of 2024 decreased by 1.29% compared to the same period last year. This decline is attributed to challenges in site clearance for some projects, such as the Lai Xuan Bridge Project and the Hoa River Bridge Construction Investment Project. Additionally, some large projects are already in the completion stage, leading to lower estimated implementation levels compared to the same period last year, such as the Ben Rung Bridge project; the Political-Administrative Center Construction Project; the project to build multi-level intersections at Ton Duc Thang – Mang Nuoc - National Highway 5 intersection and Do Muoi Street project./.
