During the visit, the Secretary of Hai Phong City's Party Committee emphasized the importance of enhancing senior leadership exchanges and deepening cooperation between Hai Phong and Shenzhen in various fields. The delegation hoped to learn from the experiences of the China Special Economic Zone Research Center in building, operating, and managing special economic zones and free trade zones. Hai Phong, with its advantageous geographical location, favorable infrastructure, and the largest seaport system in Northern Vietnam, has been successful in attracting FDI investments, always maintains its position in the top localities of the country, and remains an attractive destination for both domestic and foreign businesses. In response to Hai Phong's proposals, the leaders of the China Special Economic Zone Research Center shared their experiences in developing special economic zones in China, as well as in Guangdong Province. With Hai Phong City's important orientation on building a free trade zone, the leader of the China Special Economic Zone Research Center affirmed that the city has favorable conditions to undertake the project. The Center will strengthen cooperation and exchange experiences on special economic zones and free trade zones to support Hai Phong's economic development and attract foreign investment, including businesses from Shenzhen.

Later in the afternoon, the Hai Phong delegation had a working session with Shenzhen Holdings Investment Joint Stock Company. Secretary of Hai Phong City's Party Committee, Le Tien Chau, emphasized that the city highly appreciated the progress of the An Duong Industrial Park investment project and efforts to attract foreign investment in industrial parks. He encouraged Shenzhen Holdings Investment Joint Stock Company to continue to focus on researching and investing in Hai Phong City. Hai Phong is currently constructing a new economic zone in the southern of the city to establish a green, ecological economic area that aligns with international trends in ESG: Environment - Society - Governance, offering special preferential policies, including free trade zones. The Secretary expressed hope that the company would continue to encourage businesses in Shenzhen, especially those in electronics and logistics, to invest in Hai Phong City. This would support Hai Phong businesses in accessing the Chinese market, finding partners, promoting trade, investment, and developing tourism and services, thereby creating attractive tourist destinations for Chinese and international visitors. Hai Phong City is committed to creating the best conditions for Shenzhen businesses in particular, as well as Chinese businesses in general, to invest in Hai Phong City. At the same time, the city leaders also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Hai Phong City People's Committee and Shenzhen Holdings Investment Joint Stock Company, specifically outlining the cooperation program between the two sides for the future./.
