The city’s Economic Zone Authority stated that Hai Phong City was urgently preparing to build a new economic zone in the city’s south–an ecological economic zone sustainable for development integrated with circular economic activities, with an area of more than 20,000 square meters. The zone will apply many outstanding preferential policies associated with developing a free trade zone to welcome US investors. Besides the Free Trade Zone, Hai Phong City is also developing a non-tariff zone. To establish a foundation to carry out the above tasks, Haiphong Economic Zone Authority organized the Workshop "Construction Capacity in Establishing Free Trade Zones and Non-tariff Zones in Hai Phong City" to gain construction and development experience from the free trade zone and non-tariff zone model from the United States, forming a premise for building Haiphong Southern Economic Zone and planning policy mechanisms for the Xuan Cau non-tariff zone in Lach Huyen, Cat Hai district. At the first working session on December 5th morning,  experts from the United States shared many important contents, such as the organizational structure and operations of the Free Trade Zone in the United States, supervision, management, and responsibilities of relevant parties, goods, import and export management, etc. /.
