The workshop develops a specific action roadmap to improve the competitiveness of the city's seaport system. The event is a step to concretize the Vietnam - US Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, gather experts and enterprises of the two countries to address challenges, laying the foundation for the strategic plan for Hai Phong seaport development in the period of 2025-2026.
At the workshop, the two sides discussed and made strategic recommendations to help Hai Phong port system adapt to global trends, focusing on synchronizing multimodal transport, integrating renewable energy towards the Net Zero goal and optimizing the supply chain. The results of the workshop lay a base for Hai Phong city to build a specific action plan, turn potentials into competitive advantages to deserve the position as the most important trade gateway in Northern Vietnam.
