The city’s socio-economy in August and the first 8 months of this year has seen basically stable, the production sectors maintained quite good growth. In August, 7/9 socio-economic targets are estimated to be fulfil and exceed the growth scenario, including total budget revenue in the area; export turnover; port cargo throughput; tourist attraction; number of newly registered enterprises; number of completed social housing units. The city has organized the groundbreaking and inauguration of 9 key projects in celebration of the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2, made preparation for the city's exhibition areas to participate in the Exhibition on National Achievements at the National Exhibition Center. The 2-level local government model came into effective operation. Hai Phong city has completed the grassroots Party Congresses in 114/114 communes, wards, special zones and the Party Congress of the City People's Committee. 
In his conclusion, Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Tien Chau acknowledged the efforts, endeavors and sense of responsibility of the entire political system in fulfilling socio-economic tasks in the past time, especially in implementing the model of a 2-level local government. Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the Secretary of the City Party Committee requested the City People's Committee to place focus on implementing the plan in accordance with the growth scenario; assign leaders of the City People's Committee to strengthen inspection and supervision of key projects such as LG Thermal Power Plant (expected to start construction in the fourth quarter of 2025); Nam Do Son Seaport (expected to start construction in 2026); Start construction of berths 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 of Lach Huyen international gateway port (expected to start construction in the second quarter of 2026); Project to build a new technology solid waste treatment plant in Dinh Vu area (Expected to start construction in 2026), ... The Secretary of the City Party Committee also requested the Committees, Departments and localities to pay attention to the task of adjusting the city's planning and related planning, ensuring that the adjusted planning must maximize the advantages of the new city, along with a number of other tasks.
