In 2025, Vietnam welcomed 4.3 million Korean tourists; by the end of the first quarter of 2026, the number had exceeded 1.32 million arrivals. Conversely, the number of Vietnamese tourists traveling to Korea has been increasing steadily. In the first quarter of 2026 alone, more than 167 thousand Vietnamese visitors traveled to Korea, up nearly 30% compared to the same period in 2025. Notably, from March 30, 2026, the Korean government officially implemented a policy granting multiple-entry visas with a validity of up to 10 years for Vietnamese citizens residing in major metropolitan areas. This breakthrough policy allows Vietnamese travelers to visit Korea more conveniently and flexibly than ever before, especially meeting the needs of independent travelers and frequent visitors, thereby enhancing Korea’s position as a leading and friendly destination for the Vietnamese market.
