These figures show the strong potential and remarkable growth of Hai Phong as a global logistics center. According to the port development plan until 2030, Hai Phong aims to build an international port system with a capacity to handle up to 215.5 million tons of cargo and 15 million TEU containers. A prominent strength of Hai Phong is the orientation of modernizing seaports. The city currently has 104 wharves at 50 ports concentrated in Lach Huyen, Dinh Vu, Song Cam and Pha Rung. Regarding Lach Huyen Port, the city has planned and oriented its development towards the model of "smart - green port," capable of receiving large and high tech vessels. Up to now, Lach Huyen Port has 6 berths, and it is expected that by 2030, the 6 new berths will be completed.
