Street Art Program for Children Celebrates International Children’s Day in Hai Phong
On the occasion of International Children’s Day (June 1), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism directed the Hai Phong Center for Culture, Cinema and Exhibition to organize a street art program at the flagpole area of the City Opera House Square in Hai Phong, attracting a large number of children and teenagers.
A vibrant and joyful artistic program
The program featured a variety of lively, colorful, and engaging performances by artists from the Hai Phong Puppet Theatre and the Traditional Stage Theatre, including:
“Lung linh vuon co tich” (author: Duc Thanh – Duong Dung)
“Đan ga trong san” (artist: Meritorious Artist The Ban)
“Latin Dance” (adaptation and direction: People’s Artist Nguyen Tien Dung)
“Bong bong bang bang” and “Swan Lake” (adaptation and direction: People’s Artist Nguyen Tien Dung)
The play “Tri khon cia ta đsy” (Meritorious Artist The Ban – Xuan Nam)
Participation from young performers and artists
The program also included performances by young members of the “Little Angels Dance Club,” featuring:
“Lantern Festival”
“Afternoon Dream”
Modern dance performances (choreography by Hoang Le Thuy)
In addition, the event showcased traditional folk art activities such as:
Artful clay figurine making by artisan Tong Thi Thuy Tam
A photo exhibition by the Hai Phong Art Photography Club
Meaning of the event
The program offered children meaningful entertainment, relaxation, and joyful experiences after a year of hard study and effort.
It also helped bring laughter, positive emotions, and valuable life lessons, contributing to a healthier and more vibrant cultural environment for children in Hai Phong.
