At Hateco Hai Phong International Container Terminal, the MSC Savona ship with a capacity of 165,000 DWT, has been successfully welcomed. This is the ever- largest ship to dock at Hai Phong international gateway port in Lach Huyen. The successful reception of the largest mother vesse and the release of cargo within a day has affirmed the international standard exploitation capacity of the ports in Lach Huyen area, Hai Phong.
Pioneering in building a Green and smart port, Hateco Hai Phong International Container Terminal has applied automation technology and AI to its operations including the OCR automatic gate system and STS crane, thereby optimizing the operations process to improve loading and unloading productivity, quickly release ships and strive to achieve the hit output target.
Lach Huyen International Port is the first deep-water port in the North, planned as a gateway combined with international transit. It is capable of handling large container vessels of up to 18,000 TEU. Up to now, 6 terminals have been put into operation with a total berth length of 2.4 km and the next terminals have been invested into. With increasingly modern, environmentally friendly terminals; exploited in the right direction; Lach Huyen not only becomes become the largest deep-water port in the North, but also gradually turns Hai Phong into a modern international logistics service center; an important gateway in the international supply chain, a strategic transit point for goods in the Northeast Asia region.
