Joining hands to ease pain of agent organce victims
The war ended, but the pain that the Agent Orange disaster has been left for millions of Vietnamese victims of Agent Orange/dioxin and their descendants. Hai Phong city currently has more than 14,300 people infected with toxic chemicals who are receiving subsidy from the State, of which more than 10,420 are soldiers and 3,880 are their children

 Nearly 800 people of the third generation suspected of being infected have not yet received subsidy. More than 2,000 families have 2-5 victims of Agent Orange. Most of the victims face many difficulties, lack of material resources, are mentally exhausted, unable to work and in great need of help from the whole community. 
Mr. Pham Van Quyen is an Agent Orange victim living in Vinh Hai commune, One of his children also suffers from the toxic chemicals from his father, so he often has to go to the hospital for treatment. Overcoming adversity, he invested in more than 2,800 m² of aquaculture, gradually escaping poverty. Hai Phong City Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims has accompanied him and calld for the cooperation of benefactors to support him and his family.
“Livelihood and integration” is the theme of the action month for Vietnamese Agent Orange/Dioxin victims this year, and is also the long-term goal of those working for Hai Phong City Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims:
On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day and the 64th anniversary of the Agent Orange Disaster Day in Viet nam this year, 4,521 Agent Orange victims in the city have received more than 23.7 billion VND.
