According to the World Health Organization (WHO), dengue is on the rise and recorded in more than 100 countries. In Vietnam, according to the Ministry of Health, each year, on average, about 100,000 to 300,000 people contract the disease, with over 100 deaths. In the past six months, the country recorded more than 46,000 cases and 11 deaths in most southern provinces and cities. In Hai Phong City, most dengue cases have a history of traveling from an epidemic area.

Currently, the dengue epidemic is still having unpredictable development nationwide. Notably, the number of children hospitalized in severe conditions due to dengue has also increased dramatically. Therefore, hospitals in the city are ready for treatment.

In addition to the initiative preparation of medical facilities, people also need to voluntarily take preventive measures, actively participate in collecting waste items that cause water stagnation, and cover containers of water for the best prevention of dengue fever.
