Ladies and gentlemen, joining the joyful and excited atmosphere of tens of millions of teachers, students and pupils nationwide, this morning teachers and students of more than 1,600 educational institutions in Hai Phong city officially entered the new school year (2025 – 2026) and participated online in the ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Education sector tradition.
Mr. Le Tien Chau - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Haiphong Party Committee, Head of the city National Assembly Delegation attended the opening ceremony at Mac Dinh Chi High School (Hung Dao Ward). At the opening ceremony, the City Party Committee Secretary Le Tien Chau presented flowers and a smart classroom worth 300 million VND to teachers and students of the school. During the program, the city leaders and teachers and students of the school followed the online 80th Anniversary of the Education Sector's Tradition and the Opening Ceremony of the 2025-2026 School Year at the National Convention Center, Hanoi.
Attending and congratulating teachers and students at the opening ceremony of Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted, Le Thanh Nghi Ward, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Do Manh Hien acknowledged the efforts of teachers and students of Nguyen Trai High School. He requested the school to continue to strive, maintain and promote the tradition of a key high-quality school of the city. 
Also this morning, Mr. Le Ngoc Chau, Deputy Secretary of Haiphong Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee attended the Opening Ceremony of the 2025-2026 new school year at Tran Phu High School for the Gifted. In recognition of the outstanding achievements of the school's teachers and students in the past years, the city chairman presented teachers and students with beautiful flowers and commended all high achievements in teaching and learning of Tran Phu High School for the Gifted.
In the 2024-2025 school year, Tran Phu High School for the Gifted continued to achieve excellent results when it ranked 3rd nationwide in the number of national excellent students, maintaining its continuous achievement of being in the top 5 leading units in the National Excellent Student Competition with 408 prizes in the city-level excellent student and science and technology competitions; 103 prizes in the national excellent student and science and technology competitions, 1 silver medal in the International Biology Olympiad. The school also ranked first in the city in terms of average scores of subjects in the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, in which 2/5 students were valedictorians of Hai Phong city for the 5 main combinations for university admission. Teachers and students of Tran Phu High School for the Gifted enter the new school year 2025-2026 with new enthusiasm, motivation, determination to compete to teach well, study well, reap more golden seasons of achievements in the field of key education, continue to affirm its position as a high-quality training center, the cradle of nurturing and developing talents for the city and the country, contributing to making Hai Phong become the Education and Training Center of the Northern Coastal region and the whole country.
