On an area of more than 3,000 square meters in the core of Cat Ba National Park, youth union members planted more than 300 indigenous trees suitable to local climate and soil conditions to ensure that trees will grow and develop well.

As the unit is responsible for managing, preserving, and developing the world biosphere reserve and special-use forest with the richest biodiversity in Vietnam with an area of more than 17 thousand hectares, in recent years, Cat Ba National Park has always focused on planting and greening the core area of the World Natural Heritage. Tree planting is regularly maintained by the local youth union members and forest rangers, especially in early spring.

The tree-planting activities of the two units not only respond to the Prime Minister's project "Planting a billion trees" from 2021 to 2025 but also contribute to the concretizing emulation movement: "People plant trees, every family plants trees, all people plant trees and forests" associated with socio-economic development, protecting ecological environment, reducing natural disasters and adapting to climate change./.
