The 3rd meeting of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC III) in 2025 takes place from July 15-18, 2025 in Hai Phong city. On Thursday morning, the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism hold a tour to Chu Dau pottery village, allowed APEC guests to explore the intricate pottery-making process. 

This is one of many sideline activities on the sideline of ABAC III meeting with an aim to effectively promote the investment environment, economic potential, development policies, and introduce unique cultural and tourism of Haiphong city to the leading business communities in the region and internationally. 

Chu Dau pottery village is one of famous ancient pottery villages in Vietnam, where artisans keep a centuries-old craft alive. Chu Dau ceramics belong to the high-class ancient ceramic line of Vietnam, a symbol of the Wet rice cultivation of Vietnamese people from the 13th century. Each Chu Dau ceramic work contains its own meanings, has its own characteristics, expressed in the shape, glaze color, sophisticated patterns, rich in pure Vietnamese cultural identity. 
With their talented hands and creativity, artisans have a high-level manufacturing method. Natural glazes like jade, crackle, and white, paired with traditional motifs such as lotus flowers, dragons, phoenixes, and calligraphy, give the pottery its signature allure./.
