The investment project to build a resettlement area to serve the site clearance for deploying Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project in Duong Kinh ward has been urgently implemented by Hai Phong Management Board for Transport and Agricultural Construction Investment Projects and contractor in an effort of speeding up the progress of this national key traffic project.
Duong Kinh resettlement area project has been implemented on an area of over 74,853 m2, with a synchronous and modern infrastructure system and 470 resettlement lots, meeting the demand of about 1,880 residents. The investment of the project totals about 283.9 billion VND, the implementation period is in 2025 and 2026. To meet the progress requirements, the Project Management Board and the contractor have taken full advantage of the favorable weather in the dry season to synchronously construct technical infrastructure, roads, water supply and drainage system, wastewater treatment system; electricity system, communications system, trees, etc. Up to know, more than 30% of the plan of the project has been compelted. The railway line passing through Hai Phong city is 110.4 km long, passing through 23 communes, wards and special zones. The total land area to be revoked is about 624.1 hectares, involving more than 6,100 households, about 1,750 households of which will be resettled. The whole city is implementing 14 resettlement area projects with a total area of about 59.86 hectares and an estimated investment of about 1,237 billion VND. In the east of the city, 3 projects with 9 resettlement sites and in the west of the city, 11 projects with 13 resettlement sites have been implemented.
