20 Years Of Management And Sustainable Development Of Cat Ba Archipelago Biosphere Reserve Scientific Seminar
On the afternoon of December 12, Cat Ba National Park organized a scientific seminar on green growth with the theme 20 Years of Management and Sustainable Development of the Cat Ba Archipelago Biosphere Reserve.
In 2024, the Cat Ba Archipelago was recognized by UNESCO as a World Biosphere Reserve. With its outstanding global values and numerous domestic and international titles, the Cat Ba Archipelago is always considered a key element in the economic and social development strategy of Hai Phong City.
At the seminar, domestic and international experts and scientists focused on discussing the role of the Cat Ba Archipelago Biosphere Reserve in the conservation of forest ecosystems, marine environments and rare endemic species. The aim was to highlight the value of Cat Ba National Park in economic development, creating sustainable livelihoods for local communities, as well as supporting scientific research.
The theme “Green Growth, Management, and Sustainable Development” of the seminar is in line with global development trends. The promotion of green growth models is the key to ensuring sustainable development for the Cat Ba Archipelago, a place that holds dual UNESCO recognition as both a World Biosphere Reserve and a World Natural Heritage Site./.
