Vinh Bao District To Have 20 Communes And Towns After Merging Administrative Units
According to Resolution No. 1232 recently passed by the Standing Committee of the National Assembly regarding the restructuring of district and commune administrative units in Hai Phong City for the period 2023-2025, Vinh Bao District will reduce the number of communes and towns from 30 to 20 after the restructuring. At this time, the entire political system and the local population are ready for the implementation, which will begin on January 1st next year.

Many residents in Vinh Long Commune have been preparing for the merger of their commune with the two neighboring communes, An Hoa and Hiep Hoa, to form a new commune named Vĩnh Hoà starting from January 1st. After the merger, the new Vinh Hoa Commune will cover nearly 16 square kilometers, with a population of over 20,000 people. The area benefits from convenient transportation infrastructure, with two national highways, 10 and 37 passing through, along with a 15 km-long river dike along the Hoa River bordering Thai Binh province. These conditions will provide advantages but also pose significant challenges for the local government.

Vinh Long commune is one of the 15 communes in Vinh Bao district that will undergo a merger starting next year. After the merger, the district will only have 20 communes and towns. Vinh Bao is also the locality with the highest number of administrative units undergoing rearrangement in this period. Therefore, the arrangement of personnel and public employees has been carefully studied to ensure compliance with regulations while also considering the practical conditions of the locality./.
