Vietnam-Korea Exchange Program in Hai Phong City
On the evening of May 17, at the City Theater Square, the Department of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Vietnam-Korea Friendship Association of the city and the Korean Association in Hai Phong City, organized a performance program by the Bujihwa Art Troupe, Korea, connecting the two nations through emotional melodies leading the audience on a very unique artistic journey

 

The unique Korean dance piece performed to the song “I am a Hai Phong person” brings a new perspective, combining the proud and resilient spirit of Hai Phong people with the unique movement language of traditional Korean dance; “Jang Geom Mu” is a unique sword dance that originated from traditional Korean martial arts; The Janggu drum solo showcased the artist’s skillful technique with subtle creativity in each drum beat and each graceful movement. Korean artists also brought to the program the deep and immortal melody of Korea's most famous folk song - "Arirang", which has been honored by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity - because of the traditional beauty, soulful melody and timeless vitality that the song carries within itself.

The program is an activity within the framework of the International Week organized by the Department of Foreign Affairs, including a series of performances by international art troupes in response to and celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Hai Phong - Heroic City and the Red Flamboyant Festival - Hai Phong 2025./.
