Supporting Traditional Market Traders With Livestream Sales
On the morning of December 4th, the launching ceremony for the “Livestream Sales Market – Hai Phong 2024” was organized by Hai Phong City’s Department of Industry and Trade in collaboration with the Vietnam E-commerce Association at Quan Toan Market, one of the citys largest traditional markets. During the first online sales session, a variety of typical products from traders at the market, as well as some local enterprises, were promoted, and listed for sale, and orders were continuously confirmed.

In preparation for the streams, several days before the launching event, the e-commerce solution providers surveyed the market needs, offered advice, and instructed traders and business households to set up TikTok Shop channels to start online sales.

After the launching ceremony, the first livestream session took place at Quan Toan Market, guided by professional content creators. They provided training on creating accounts, updating product listings, selling products, and interacting with online buyers. Over 100 products from the market’s traders and local businesses were introduced, listed for sale, and continuously sold out.

The online sales session is part of the broader digital transformation efforts of the industry and trade sector in Hai Phong City, intending to support traditional market traders in adopting e-commerce, enhancing their competitiveness, and increasing sales. At the same time, it aims to promote and introduce the city’s specialty products and brands, while expanding its online presence and recognition./.
