Hai Phong leader reviews progress on key projects
On the afternoon of September 10, Deputy Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee and Chairman of the Hai Phong People's Committee Do Thanh Trung chaired a review of the implementation of socio-economic development tasks and the progress of several construction projects across the city.

Inspecting the progress of the Phi Liet Cemetery project in Viet Khe Commune; the social housing development project in Hoa Binh Ward; the infrastructure development project for the Bach Dang Ward resettlement area; and the project to build a road from the Bac Song Cam Urban Area to the road from VSIP Industrial Park to Vu Yen Island, the Chairman of the Hai Phong People's Committee asked departments, agencies and local authorities to proactively carry out the projects, focus on resolving difficulties, accelerate construction and complete the projects as scheduled.

At a meeting to hear reports on the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in Thuy Nguyen, Hoa Binh, Nam Trieu, Bach Dang, Luu Kiem, Le Ich Moc, Thien Huong and Viet Khe communes and wards, the Chairman of the Hai Phong People's Committee, in his concluding remarks, highly appreciated the socio-economic development results achieved by the localities during the first eight months of 2026. He urged the localities to maintain a strong focus on public investment disbursement and digital transformation, closely follow the growth plan and strive to achieve the socio-economic development targets for 2026.

On the morning of September 11, Nguyen Quang Phuc, a member of the Standing Committee of the Hai Phong Party Committee and head of the Hai Phong Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, received and held a working session with participants of the 2026 training course on propaganda and communications for officials of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, organized by the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.

Through the working session, the participants will gain experience to apply to the practical situation in Laos in socio-economic development and in strengthening information and communications efforts in the new period. This will contribute to improving their professional expertise and capacity to carry out propaganda and communications work, while helping consolidate and strengthen the friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
