At the company’s headquarters and factory complex located at Lots CN3A and CN3B of Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park (DEEP C 2A), the delegation was briefed on Pegatron Vietnam’s investment, production, and business activities.

Pegatron Vietnam is a subsidiary of Pegatron Corporation of Taiwan, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of electronic components, consumer electronic devices, and high-tech products. In Hai Phong, the project covers 35.71 hectares with total registered investment capital of US$800 million, equivalent to approximately VND20.738 trillion.

The first phase, located at Lot CN3A and covering 5.699 hectares, was completed and has been operating steadily since December 2021. The second phase, covering 30.011 hectares at Lot CN3B, has put factories F3 through F7 into operation. Factories F8 and F9 are largely complete and are expected to undergo acceptance procedures in October and November 2026. Preparations are also underway for the remaining facilities, with construction expected to begin by the end of 2026.

The company currently employs 9,076 workers, including 8,431 Vietnamese employees. Its production and business activities continue to grow positively. Cumulative revenue in the first eight months of 2026 reached VND49.755 trillion, up 15.2% compared with the same period in 2025. Full-year revenue is expected to reach approximately VND88.318 trillion, representing a 19.59% increase from 2025.

At the meeting, Pegatron Vietnam’s management reported on the company’s advantages and challenges and proposed that the city provide support in addressing issues related to customs inspection and clearance, accelerate fire prevention and firefighting acceptance procedures, and continue improving the legal framework to provide greater flexibility for the company to introduce new products and production processes.

Leaders of relevant departments and agencies directly discussed the issues raised by the company, provided specific guidance on procedures, and pledged to work closely with Pegatron Vietnam to resolve its outstanding concerns.

In his concluding remarks, Chairman Do Thanh Trung acknowledged and praised the company’s positive production and business performance. He affirmed that Hai Phong would continue to stand alongside the company, create favorable conditions for its operations, and direct relevant authorities to promptly review and resolve the company’s proposals.

Chairman Do Thanh Trung asked Pegatron Vietnam to pay particular attention to strategies for training and developing a high-quality workforce, expand its internship programs, and proactively strengthen cooperation with universities and colleges in the city to provide students with opportunities for practical training at the company’s factories.

Such activities would not only help students improve their professional skills but also create opportunities for the company to directly recruit highly skilled workers during their internships.

Alongside the completion of factories F8 and F9 and the planned construction of F10 and F11, the Chairman expressed his hope that the company would soon study and implement the second phase of its employee dormitory project. This would help meet workers’ accommodation needs and enable them to feel secure and remain with the company over the long term.

Before the meeting, Chairman Do Thanh Trung and the delegation conducted an on-site inspection of Pegatron Vietnam’s employee housing project on Mac Thai To Street, Dong Hai Ward.

The project covers 5.04 hectares and has a total investment of VND1.56 trillion. It is designed to provide approximately 1,632 dormitory-style apartments to meet the accommodation needs of the company’s employees.

The first phase, comprising four five-story dormitory buildings with 784 rooms and two eight-story staff housing buildings, has been completed and put into operation. With a preferential rental rate of VND100,000 per person per month, the project provides practical support for the living conditions of the company’s specialists and workers.
