The conference was attended by Mr. Nguyen Duc Tuan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City, together with leaders of various departments, sectors and local authorities, as well as administrators, teachers and students of Nui Doi Primary School.

The development of the “Socialist School” model aims to create a healthy, democratic, disciplined and responsible educational environment. It seeks to improve the quality of comprehensive education, with a particular focus on educating students in ethics, lifestyle and life skills. The initiative also aims to promote the roles of schools, families and society in education and build a contingent of education administrators and teachers with sound political qualities, professional ethics and strong professional expertise.

By 2030, the commune aims to ensure that educational facilities meet minimum standards appropriate to each level of education, while also being upgraded and modernized toward standards approaching international benchmarks.

The teaching workforce, education administrators and education-sector staff are expected to be sufficient in number, qualified in terms of professional capacity, and appropriately and consistently structured. They are expected to meet professional standards and the requirements of comprehensive educational reform, international integration and development.

In addition, students will be supported in developing comprehensively in terms of qualities and competencies. They are expected to live positively, responsibly and creatively; develop the ability to learn independently, cooperate with others and adapt to an increasingly integrated world; live happily; and be ready to contribute to their communities and the sustainable development of the country.

Teaching and the organization of educational activities will focus on improving quality and meeting learners’ needs, while fostering their capacity for self-directed learning, creative thinking and personal development. The educational environment will be safe, friendly, equitable and respectful of differences, while promoting individual abilities, cooperation and creativity and creating favorable conditions for students’ comprehensive development in the context of international integration.

Kien Thuy Commune selected Campus I of Nui Doi Primary School to implement the model, giving the initiative particular significance. Before the administrative reorganization, this location was Nui Doi Town Primary School. Following the reorganization, it became a campus of Nui Doi Primary School. Although the name and organizational structure have changed, the goals, content and determination to implement the model remain unchanged.

To ensure that the model is implemented in depth and achieves practical results, Mr. Luu Van Thuy, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Commune People’s Committee, requested that Nui Doi Primary School and relevant agencies and organizations quickly stabilize their operations following the reorganization, build a united and cohesive collective, and strengthen the school as a whole.

He emphasized that the model must have specific content, specific criteria and specific outcomes, with results that can be objectively assessed. The commune should continue to focus on developing its teaching and education management workforce. Students must be placed at the center of all activities, while the roles of families and society as a whole in education must be fully promoted.

Mr. Luu Van Thuy expressed his confidence that, with the attention and direction of the city, the guidance and support of the Department of Education and Training, the efforts of administrators, teachers and staff, and the cooperation of parents and local residents, Nui Doi Primary School will soon stabilize following the reorganization, continue to improve the quality of education and successfully implement the “Socialist School” model.
