At the meeting, the two sides exchanged information on the socio-economic situation, security, and order in each locality, and measures to protect citizens and arrest criminals. In the spirit of friendship and cooperation, the leader of Hai Phong City’s Police Department welcomed the working delegation to visit and work at the unit; and reviewed the milestones of the relationship between the police of the two localities, especially the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the two sides in September 2023. The city police leader suggested that in the coming time, the two sides will continue to study, share, and exchange information on mutual-concerned issues such as crimes using high technology to defraud and appropriate property; drug crimes, and transnational crimes. 

As his part, the leader of the Korean North Gyeonggi Provincial Police Department also thanked Haiphong Police for the sincere and thoughtful reception and sent condolences and sympathies for the losses of Hai Phong City after the recent typhoon Yagi. This is the second working trip of the Korean North Gyeonggi Provincial Police to Hai Phong City’s Police Department, affirming the determination to deepen the cooperation between the two local police forces in a practical and long-term manner, contributing to the comprehensive partnership and cooperation between Vietnam and Korea./.
