Opening of Hai Phong Citys Sing - Dance - Music Concert in 2024
On May 21st, the city’s Sing-Dance-Music Concert was held to commemorate Hai Phong’s 69th anniversary of liberation and the 2024 Red Flamboyant Flower Festival at Hai Phong City’s Opera House.
Local selections were organized early this year, starting with An Lao district (February 24th), featuring thousands of actors with over 1,000 performances. Localities’ authorities devoted attention and direction and invested resources to organize the festival at the grassroots and district levels. Thus, 43 excellent performances were selected for the 2024 City-level concert.
Following the opening ceremony were performances from units from districts: Do Son, Duong Kinh, Ngo Quyen, Kien An, and Thuy Nguyen. The contest takes place until May 23rd at the City’s Theater Square. The performances were elaborately choreographed, with beautiful costumes and extensive performing troupes, giving the audience unique and impressive artistic performances.
The event was organized from the grassroots to the city and maintained every year. This is an opportunity for communes, wards, towns, and districts to promote culture, encourage people to participate in performances, and discover the nucleus of popular arts. The event also helps people evaluate the quality of cultural activities in localities comprehensively, create opportunities for artists to devote their talents, promote creativity in composing and performing, and exhibit high-quality artistic value and ideological content, serving the needs to enjoy culture and arts for the city's people./.
