At the exhibition areas, the delegation explored featured products and goods, as well as trade promotion activities and business networking opportunities among localities and enterprises from Viet Nam, China, and other ASEAN countries.

On the same day, the Hai Phong delegation attended the 2026 Friendship Cities Exchange Conference along the Nanning-Hanoi Economic Corridor and the Belt and Road Initiative.

Addressing the conference, Vice Chairman Hoang Minh Cuong emphasized that, amid rapid changes in the global economy, cooperation and connectivity among localities are playing an increasingly important role in maintaining supply chains, expanding development space, and creating new growth drivers.

According to the Vice Chairman, the Nanning-Lang Son-Hanoi-Hai Phong-Quang Ninh Economic Corridor plays an important role in connecting Viet Nam’s “Two Corridors, One Economic Belt” framework with the Belt and Road Initiative, opening up opportunities for cooperation in industry, logistics, science and technology, innovation, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.

As a port city, industrial center, and major transport hub in northern Viet Nam, Hai Phong is ready to work with Nanning and other localities along the Economic Corridor to promote three key areas of cooperation: building a corridor for technology, innovation, and digital transformation; strengthening logistics connectivity and maximizing the effectiveness of infrastructure systems and new opportunities arising from the Binh Luc Canal; and further deepening cooperation in culture, education, healthcare, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.

Vice Chairman Hoang Minh Cuong said that Hai Phong looks forward to working with Guangxi, Nanning, other localities, businesses, and research institutes to identify specific and practical areas of cooperation that can be implemented and replicated. The city aims to gradually move from “connectivity” toward “co-creation,” jointly developing supply chains, technology, human resources, and people-to-people exchanges.

As 2026 marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of friendly cooperation between Hai Phong and Nanning, Vice Chairman Hoang Minh Cuong affirmed that Hai Phong attaches great importance to its friendly relations and cooperation with localities and international partners. The city is ready to create favorable conditions for businesses, investors, and partners to explore opportunities for investment and long-term cooperation in Hai Phong.

The Vice Chairman expressed his confidence that the Nanning-Lang Son-Hanoi-Hai Phong-Quang Ninh Economic Corridor will increasingly become a corridor for technology, innovation, people-to-people exchanges, and shared development, contributing to the promotion of peace, cooperation, connectivity, and prosperity in the region./.
