Successfully organizing 50^th Anniversary of Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea

The 50 Anniversary of Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea was successfully organized in Haiphong City in 3 days from 21^st to 23^rd October 2011. In order to achieve such success, Haiphong People’s Committee, authoritative departments and people of Haiphong City have paid high concentration and efforts in the direction and implementation from the beginning.

Defined that the anniversary is one of the main activities of the city, all levels and departments in the whole city responded and participated in this activity, and based on their assigned tasks to proactively build plans and successfully implement every item of such plans.

The propaganda was carried out diversely in the whole city and frequently updated with relevant information such as press release, visual propaganda; decoration was made festively; special pages and columns were created to provide information about the anniversary activities to Haiphong people; a television bridge was prepared and performed at the berth K15 in cooperation with Vietnam Television (VTV). Security for the anniversary was completely ensured with power supply stability, readiness of appliances and ambulances, arrangement of rescuers to be permanent in the whole anniversary. Reception and accommodation for guests from central organizations and other provinces were arranged considerately.

Besides, other activities responding to the anniversary such as gifts for deserved people, mass arts and cultural performances, screening season, photos exhibition, festivals, competitions, dialogues, and propagandas to people… have made the anniversary a festive day of the port city’s people.

Under the close cooperation between the city departments and the High Command of Vietnam Navy, the activities for the anniversary were organized with absolute safety and effectiveness, which have left good impressions on attendants as well as people throughout the country./.
