HICT receives first transpacific ship to US & Canada

Haiphong International Container Terminal HICT handled the ship Northern Jaguar of Ocean Network Express on the route PN2.

The ship Northern jaguar with capacity of 8,814 TEU is the largest vessel that has accommodated in HITC. The port has received larger ships since its operation. The route PN2 connecting HICT to Yantian, Tacoma, Vancouver, Kaohsiung, Singapore, Laem Chabang, Cai Mep shorten the shipping time from West US to Canada to 17days in stead of 25 days by the old route. Customers could save time and logistics fees. HICT affirms its position in receiving large vessels. The port has received transpacific shipping from US and EU ports without any transit ports. The opening new route of HICT increases the competitiveness of Vietnam and attracts more FDI.
