BACH DANG GIANG - LEGEND OF A SACRED LAND AND TALENTED PEOPLE

Trang Kenh- Bang Dang land in Thuy Nguyen district, which is 18 kilometers to the northeastern part of the city's center, is a famous landscape in the national history with 3 water combats against invaders. These combats closely attached to the name of heroes such as King Le Dai Hanh, Hung Dao Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan and King Ngo Quyen. To commemorate the national heroes who made historic feats of arm on the historic river, Bach Dang Giang relic site was built. This is a spacious architectural complex on the sacred land near Trang Kenh mountain.

Tonight  January 2nd, in the jubilant ambiance of the first days of the new year 2021, at Bach Dang Giang relic site in Thuy Nguyen district, Haiphong city solemnly held the ceremony to receive the national historical relic recognition certificate for Bach Dang Giang relic site. The ceremony aimed to demonstrate the deep gratitude of today generations for the national heroes who made glorious feats of arm in Bach Dang river fights, affirmed the potential and intelligence of the Vietnamese people, outstanding values of victories on Bach Dang river for the world and Vietnam's history, step by step study and supplement values to submit to the UNESCO to recognize the relic complex relating to the victories on the Bach Dang river as the world's cultural heritage. The ceremony also aimed to honor, introduce and popularize typical cultural values of Bach Dang Giang national relic and potential of Haiphong, introduce about Haiphong, a land with long history and rich culture to local and foreign visitors. Proceeding with the ritual of conferring certificate recognizing Bach Dang Giang as the national historical relic site was the artistic performance with the theme :" Bach Dang Giang magnanimity". The program was staged carefully, deeply bore the traditional cultural features of the Haiphong coastal residents with the participation of over 500 artists from art troupes nationwide./.
