Hai Phong to stage week- long program for Vietnamese culture day
From November 18 to 24, Hai Phong will organize a series of activities to mark Vietnamese Culture Day, in conjunction with Great National Unity Day and Vietnamese Cultural Heritage Day. A range of arts programs, heritage experiences and community exchanges are being prepared, giving residents opportunities to participate directly in cultural activities and enjoy the city's cultural offerings.
One of the highlights will be the cultural space “One Space – Multiple Experiences”, scheduled for November 21 and 22 in the courtyard of the city's fine arts exhibition center. Residents and visitors will be able to explore Hai Phong's history and culture through documents and artefacts, meet artisans and artists, try traditional crafts and take part in folk games.
From November 21 to 23, the “Hai Phong – Gateway to Cinema” program is expected to bring together forums, exhibitions, film screenings and location scouting activities, helping promote the city's image through cinema.
On the evening of November 24, the arts program “Colours of Vietnamese Culture” is scheduled to take place at Xu Dong Cultural Centre Square.
Book-related activities, heritage education, mass-participation sports and cultural exchanges will also be organized at the local level. Each commune, ward and special zone will proactively organize or incorporate at least one cultural activity and one sports activity suited to local conditions.
The city is also encouraging museums, heritage sites, tourist attractions and service providers to offer preferential rates, fee waivers or discounts where feasible, expanding opportunities for the community to enjoy cultural experiences.
