Hai Phong inaugurates "heeding the nation's call" monuments
Border guard stations, Border Guard Flotilla 2 and river and bay inspection and supervision stations under the Hai Phong Border Guard have simultaneously inaugurated monuments entitled “Heeding the Nation’s Call”. The project carries significant educational value, helping preserve tradition while implementing Directive No. 07 on stepping up the study and practice of Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, ethics, methods and style in the new stage of development.
The monument depicts President Ho Chi Minh warmly instructing border guard soldiers. The monuments have been built in prominent location within the ground of units under the Hai Phong Border Guard, with attention to aesthetics, durability and architectural harmony with each site.
The project serves not only as an architectural structure and a dignified cultural and spiritual space but also reflects the profound respect of officers and soldiers of the city’s Border Guard for President Ho Chi Minh.
The monuments will also serve as sites for educating personnel about revolutionary traditions, fostering patriotism and pride among successive generations of border guard officers and soldiers. Through studying and practicing Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, ethics, methods and style, personnel are encouraged to remember and faithfully follow his teachings, maintain unity and solidarity, and remain absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the people.
They are also expected to strengthen efforts to safeguard the city’s maritime and island sovereignty and border security.
The inaugurations have further fostered a strong emulation movement throughout the city’s border guard force. The monuments will serve as a source of spiritual strength for residents in coastal and island border areas and port border-gate areas, encouraging closer military–civilian solidarity in safeguarding the nation.
