Argo-forestry-aquatic output nears 40 trillion VND
Overcoming storm Yagi's 2024 aftermath and changeable weather, the city's agriculture sector applied flexible, effective measures to stabilize and grow production. By the end of 2025, agro-forestry-aquatic output is estimated at nearly 40 trillion VND, up 4.2% year-on-year.

After the merger, rice planting area hit nearly 160,000 hectares, with average yield at 6.24 tons/ha/crop—up 0.593 tons from 2024. Vegetables and short-term crops held steady at over 44,300 hectares, yielding 1.16 million tons. 
Aquaculture area reached nearly 24,000 hectares in 2025, flat year-on-year, but output topped 202,000 tons, up 6%, thanks to advanced technology application. Aquatic production value hit over 9 trillion VND, up 3.72% from 2024, exceeding the city’s targets. In 2026, agriculture will focus on restructuring for comprehensive, sustainable commodity production tied to markets; high-tech and digital applications in key zones to boost value and efficiency, targeting nearly 41 trillion VND, up 2% year-on-year./.
