Participating in the workshop, delegates focused on discussing a number of contents such as Identifying the values and identity of Hai Phong music - from folk traditions, red music, light music to contemporary music, Assessing the potential and infrastructure of culture and music - including the system of theaters, art schools, festivals, performance and training spaces; Building a strategy for developing the music industry and urban creativity, aiming to form “Hai Phong - Music City of Vietnam and the region”; Exchanging experiences about a number of music cities in the world, proposing a roadmap for integration with the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. Also at the workshop, researchers, artists, managers and delegates exchanged and shared their views on Hai Phong's musical journey - from tradition to modernity and discussed strategies, solutions and directions to build Hai Phong into a "City of Music" in the UNESCO creative network in the new era of development of the country and the city.
