Expanding space for sustainable industrial development
The merger has opened up a new, large development space with many potentials and advantages, creating favorable conditions for effectively planning and developing industrial parks and economic zones in the new Hai Phong. By August this year, Hai Phong was one of the leading localities in the country in terms of the number and scale of industrial parks and economic zones.
Over the past 5 years, the economic zones and industrial parks have attracted about 19.3 billion USD of FDI, accounting for the majority of the total FDI of the whole city. In order to further promote the effectiveness of investment attraction, Hai Phong city has established the Southern coastal economic zone, a new development driving force of the city with a scale of 20,000 hectares, designed to become a comprehensive, multi-industrial, multi-functional coastal economic zone under the model of green growth, circular economy and sustainable development.

The Southern Coastal Economic Zone focuses on high-tech industry, modern seaport services and logistics. It is the main economic growth driver of Hai Phong city with synchronous infrastructure, transparent, open and favorable investment and business environment. With the determination to expand the space for sustainable industrial-service development, Hai Phong city continues to invite domestic and foreign investors to participate in developing new industrial parks according to ecological and smart models to improve quality and effectiveness of investment for socio-economic development.
