The free trade zone is organized into functional areas, including production area, port and port logistics area, logistics center, trade-service area and other types of functional areas according to the provisions of law. The functional areas in Hai Phong city free trade zone that meet the conditions of a duty-free zone as prescribed by law are guaranteed customs inspection, supervision and control activities in the respective fields of relevant agencies. Hai Phong free trade zone is an area with defined geographical boundaries, established to pilot specific and outstanding mechanisms and policies prescribed in Resolution No. 226/2025 of the National Assembly on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Hai Phong city.
